Vltava River Cruise
Prior to our arrival to Prague we booked a 1 hour river cruise which took us up and down the Vltava River. We find its always best to not waste valuable sightseeing time by pre-booking.
On our river cruise we had the option to settle on the inside or outside deck, either option gives you a great view to admire the scenery as you glide by Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Kampa Island, and the city’s top sights.
On-board refreshments are available! We enjoyed an ice cold beer while taking in the scenery.

First, the cruise headed upstream on the Vltava River around the Rudolfinum and the Old Town. Then we floated under Charles Bridge, where we had a close look at its 600-year-old stone pillars. After the Charles Bridge the boat turned back and we had a spectacular view of Prague Castle, giving you plenty of time for those spectacular pictures. The cruise continued around Kampa Island with its picturesque architecture, the Straka Academy will be on the left, where the Czech Government Office is located so make sure you are on the left side. Our view continued with the classicist Civic Swimming Pool. Above our heads and up the hill we could see Letná Park with the Prague Metronome and EXPO 58 Building. At the last turn we passed by Štvanice Island. And to finish off our cruise we saw the complex of historic buildings of the Na Františku Hospital, from here you return back to the dock.

The above cruise is located at Prague Boat Tours. Head east along the river from the Charles Bridge.
